The Fender Mustang electric uke Project
having recently built an archtop soprano, i've been toying with the idea of doing another impossible project like an electrified uke fashioned after my favorite Fender guitars. first up is a miniaturized copy of a Fender Mustang electric guitar from the 1960's. i think the hardest part of this build is finding the proper parts and being able to fit it in such a tiny body without it looking a whole another instrment. Im going to be making the custom pickups from scratch.ive already got the alinico magnets from the mail. All handwound from 42W Copper wire and properly potted. the body is going to be of poplar or alder with a classic maple neck and rosewood fretboard.
needless to say its definitely going to be a interesting process.

Hisbiscus Curly Koa Soprano
hello. im about a week or so, off from building due to medical reasons. i really shouldnt be doing this for awhile at all per doc's advice. a parent of one of the kid in my church youth choir approached me and was quite curious about the archtop uke i was playing during the mass. to cut the story short, they appointed me to build a custom koa soprano. here is a dosier of a shotgun build .
