Mustang eleuke update

i routed out the body for thev pickup and control cavity. nerve wracking nevertheless. i didnt trust the straight router bit to hold up from my abuse .surprisingly enough, it let me finish the task safely. i really need to invest on a proper plunge router soon here folks.not bad for my first try.
next is the handwound pickups with a bitchin' alnico 5 magnets i bought last year.

Fender Mustang electric uke

took a break from finishing up most of your guy's custom ukes and got caught up with my personal project started mid of last year. was originally inspired by Dan over at Circuitandstrings channel on Youtube after he posted a video of his sweet Jag-stang Kurt Cobain electric uke. since im the biggest fan of Kurt and have personally own a dozen of fender mustangs, jaguars and duo-sonics i was compelled to venture in the solid body instruments.

   this is probably the 4th attempt at making a proper neck while staying true to Mr. Leo Fender's original design. 60's style fat neck

  tenor size Alder slab body with a concert length solid maple neck just the like the real thing.

and for  some extra, beautiful Hawaiian macadamia wood just recently resawed for Paul's mini.

Electronic Freakout!

between waiting for components and parts that seem to take ages to arrive and trying to figure out how im going to cram all these craziness in this tiny uke.

 

 

 

 

 

 

did a final wiring test tonight before tomorrows install. sounds warm and oh so sweet. i want one for myself now bad.
