did a mini wood run today and scored a nice figured plank of a close to quartersawned mahogany . i'll get at least a dozen sets of 1-piece top and backs. maybe even a couple of concert necks. the dimesions are 5.75'x 11.5"x3/4". this will be enough mahogany to last through winter time.
mahogany Neck is coming along alright thanks to my Kataba Jap saw and Lie-nielsen #2
a bit of nostalgia on this upcoming concept build. some of you may recognize the picture above. it is a vintage international air mail envelope. In a time where everything is electronically processed and digitalized, its refreshing too see some throwback things to remind us of the good times. im quite excited to add new elements in my build repertoire ( vintage stamps wood trasfer, multi-color rope bindings and marquetry)
the last bit of my Hem-fir Stash and another bent Cherry ready for trimming and blocks.
