more tweaking of the top
edit, edit ,edit, and some more top editing here. A simple criteria i go through every time are as follows; is the top I'm using vertical grained? check, how's the tone? you want a resonant "thud" sound that has sustain. if its "pingy" or too high of a pitch that means you need to shave more off. No need to be cute, a single traverse brace and a bridge patch material is really all you need. that's wisdom gained over a 7 year of trial-and-error. always aim for a light resonant top and a rigid complimentary back lid.
