Change of plans. Unfortunate but it happens every now and then :(

 

today turned out to be not so good. as much as it pains me, i might have to scrap this wonderful uke for several reasons. i got impatient gluing the back lid too early and made the mistake of closing the soundbox out of the mould. I   discovered a bulged on the lower bout. the body is mis-aligned, crooked and ugly. to top off everything, i over sanded the top to an almost rice paper- thin, you could almost see the kerfing . replacing the top would be too daunting ( take bindings off etc.) i might as well use the time and effort prepping for a new one.

man, i feel so defeated. i guess there's  first time for everything. definitely a learning experience.
