Plywood drum

Decided to go with the 1/2” diameter threaded rod instead of the originally thought of 3/8”. It seems sturdier and less flimsy. Not to say that there’s anything wrong with the other one. I just had a hard time looking for parts that’ll go with the 3/8” rod with little luck. Namely the pillow block bearings. I had originally thought of using a drill to run the drum but after a mock test run I did not like the noise. I wanted a quite operation. Since I already have a few 1/2 Hp electric motors I’ve collected in founb for it . Here you’ll see I also added a pin halfway through to add some insurance.  Stole the idea from a bunch of examples a found on the net and woodworking forums.
